At Theodore Primary School we provide students with essential mathematical skills and knowledge in Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry and Statistics and Probability. Teachers provide opportunities for students to develop numeracy capabilities that all students will need in their personal, work and civic life. Students are supported with their learning through the use of a gradual release of responsibility approach. They work in whole class, small group and individual structures to develop and practise the fundamentals of mathematics.
The teachers at Theodore Primary School encourage and support the development of mathematical thinking - questioning, understanding, fluency, problem solving and reasoning.
