During 2024, a group of students representing each year level from preschool to year 6 were involved in working with Ngunnawal artist, Eddie Longford to develop an artwork which is representative of Theodore
Primary School.
The animals and/or their tracks selected to feature in the design are local animals that are found in and around our school and seen by our students regularly.
Gula (Koala)
Our School Mascot

Wille (Possum)
Many possums reside at Theodore and choose to have their babies in the gum trees at our school.

Garawang (magpie)
We have had a magpie family that returns yearly. Magpies are confident roaming on our playground and you can hear them warbling their morning song at morning assembly.

Naraganawali (coming together)
Our motto begins with ‘grounded in community’, this symbol represents all of the different people in our community who gather and belong in this meeting place — our school.

Kangaroo Tracks
There is a large mob of about 10 kangaroos that laze on the large oval most days just beyond the boundary of the senior playground.

Tuggeranong Hill
Features in the centre of the design as our school sits at its base.
Tuggeranong hill is significant to the local Ngunnawal People and evidence of this can be seen at the Grinding Stones located on the mountain.
